娘がプレスクールの誕生日会に招待されました。嬉しい反面、親同士、クラスメートの子ども達との英語での挨拶、雑談にガクブルのわたし。
でも、娘のためにも、ここは頑張るしかない！！！と、付け焼刃のカンペを作成し、なんとか誕生日会を乗り切りました。こんな私のメモに需要はないのは重々承知しておりますが、同じように英語の日常会話、雑談に苦手意識を感じている親御様の心の支え（英語の支えではない…）になれば幸いと思い、公開させて頂きます。

- はじめまして。〇〇の母（or父）です。
- お会いできて嬉しいです。
- 今年の9月に〇〇に、日本からやってきました。

- 本来の私はおしゃべりです。
- もっと皆様と沢山お話ししたいのですが、聞き取りが上手くできなかったり、英語の表現がすぐに出てこないため、なかなか上手くいきません。
- もっと英語が話せたらと思うことが多いですが、一つ良いことを発見しました。
- 〇〇は、好奇心旺盛で意思が強いです。
- 彼女のよい面は自分の考えがあり、好奇心に溢れていることです。悪い面は、親や先生の言うことを聞かないことがある（しばしば？）。
- 日本に居た時は、先生の報告や苦情を聞いて、いつも私は頭を抱えていました。
- でも、こちらでは、先生の言うことの要点しか分からない（なぜなら言語が英語で、私は英語が得意ではないから）、ゆえに心のダメージも軽い。もちろん、親としてやるべきことはやらなければならないのだけれど。
- 先日、午前中だけ私は娘と一緒に授業に参加しました。
- 彼女（話相手の娘さん）は、いろんなことを私に説明してくれました。
- 私のリスニング力が乏しいため、彼女の話に適切に返答できないことがあり、申し訳なく思っています。また、彼女の積極性と優しさにとても感謝しています。
- もし、うちの子（〇〇）の拙い英語と態度で嫌な思いをさせてしまっていたらごめんなさい。彼女はそういうつもりではないと思います。しかし、たとえ、うちの子がそういうつもりでなくても、ごめんなさい。
- もし何か困ったことがあったら、いつでも気軽に教えて下さい。

I am actually a talkative person.
もっと皆様と沢山お話ししたいのですが、聞き取りが上手くできなかったり、英語の表現がすぐに出てこないため、なかなか上手くいきません。
I would like to talk much more with you, but it’s not going well because I can’t immediately find the english words that I want to say and I can’t listen well yet.
もっと英語が話せたらと思うことが多いですが、一つ良いことを発見しました。
there are many situations that I feel I wish I could have listen clearly and speak english well. but there is a good thing I discovered.
〇〇は、好奇心旺盛で意思が強いです。
〇〇 has full of curiosity and strong will.
彼女のよい面は自分の考えがあり、好奇心に溢れていることです。悪い面は、親や先生の言うことを聞かないことがある（しばしば？）。
Her pros is that she has her own will and full of curiosity, on the other hand her cons is that she sometimes ( often) doesn’t follow what parents and teacher said.
日本に居た時は、先生の報告や苦情を聞いて、いつも私は頭を抱えていました。
when we lived in Japan, the teacher’s report and complaint often caused my headache.
でも、こちらでは、先生の言うことの要点しか分からない（なぜなら言語が英語で、私は英語が得意ではないから）、ゆえに心のダメージも軽い。もちろん、親としてやるべきことはやらなければならないのだけれど。
In the U.S. I can figure out no more than the main points of teacher’s talk.because language is English and I’m not good at using english. So, there are no damage for me. I can focus on the problem to solve.
先日、午前中だけ私は娘と一緒に授業に参加しました。
The other day, I participated in the class with Mayuko only in the morning.
彼女（話相手の娘さん）は、いろんなことを私に説明してくれました。
She kindly explained many things about school to me.
私のリスニング力が乏しいため、彼女の話に適切に返答できないことがあり、申し訳なく思っています。また、彼女の積極性と優しさにとても感謝しています。
Due to my poor listening skill, sometimes I can’t reply to her appropriately, so I’m so sorry to her. and I’m really grateful for her spontaneity and kindness.
もし、うちの子（〇〇）の拙い英語と態度で嫌な思いをさせてしまっていたらごめんなさい。彼女はそういうつもりではないと思います。しかし、たとえ、うちの子がそういうつもりでなくても、ごめんなさい。
I’m sorry if there was something that 〇〇’ｓ poor english and attitude made you unconfortable.
I think she didn’t mean it.
